SPACEIO ~ LINUX  Command of the Day #5

ss -tulpn: what is your computer listening on right now?

What is your computer listening on right now?

ss -tulpn

What it does

ss lists network connections. -t shows TCP, -u UDP, -l listening sockets, -p the process behind each one, and -n shows numbers instead of names. Run it with sudo to see every process.

Why it matters

A service you didn't expect, listening on a port, is one of the first signs worth investigating.

Try it

Run it and count how many ports are listening on your machine. Share what you found in the community.
