Phishing in four steps

Most breaches don't start with clever code. They start with a click.

Step by step

  1. The attacker picks a target and a story: a bank alert, a delivery notice, a job offer.
  2. They send a message with a link that looks real.
  3. The link opens a fake page that collects your login.
  4. They use your login on the real site.

How to spot it

Check the sender address, hover over the link before you click, be wary of urgency, and never log in through a link you didn't ask for.
