SPACEIO // LINUX  Command of the Day #1

ls -lah: see everything in a folder, including what's hidden

Most people use ls and miss half of what it can tell them.

ls -lah

What it does

ls -lah lists everything in a folder, including hidden files (a), with sizes people can read (h), and the permissions, owner and date of each file (l).

Why it matters

Run it in your home folder. Hidden files like .bashrc and .ssh show up, and those are exactly where attackers and admins both look first.

Try it

Run it in your home folder and find the biggest file. Share what you found in the community.
